Build a finance career AI cannot replace
One to one coaching for finance professionals who want to move with AI rather than be moved by it. Three sessions, six weeks, and a written 90 day plan built around the job you already have.
For accountants, analysts, finance managers and controllers. From a former European CFO and trained therapist.

Know where AI helps, where it breaks, and where you win
"AI changes everything so I am done" is useless advice, and it is not true. Start with the work itself.
What AI does well
Pulling data together, reconciliation and matching, recurring reports, budget tracking, standard variance analysis. When the data is clean and the logic is clear, the first pass is far faster.
The messy middle
First draft models, forecasts, scenario work, variance commentary. AI helps here, but it misses edge cases and does not know why the model was built the way it was, or the politics behind it.
Where you win
Choosing the scenario that fits reality. Knowing whether a miss is a real problem or a timing issue. Owning the number that goes to the board, and keeping the controls and audit trail intact.
Four layers that compound
Each layer matters on its own. The value is in how they stack. An AI expert who cannot read a set of accounts is only so useful to a CFO.
Finance fundamentals
AI makes mistakes that look polished. You are the one who knows when a number is wrong and traces it back before it reaches the board.
AI fluency
Not knowing how a model works. Knowing how to work with one, and when roughly right will do and when only exactly right is acceptable.
Workflow design
Moving from doing the task to designing how it gets done: which steps AI handles, where a human steps in, and how the output is verified.
Storytelling and trust
Turning analysis into decisions people act on. Being the person leadership calls after the meeting to ask what you really think.
The free Finance Skills Ledger takes about five minutes.
How the coaching works
Private, one to one and online. No group sessions, no course to wade through, no upsell at the end.

- Session one: where you standWe map your current work against what AI does well, the messy middle, and where your judgment leads.
- Session two: your first workflowWe take one real workflow from your job and redesign it with AI, so you leave with something you have actually done.
- Session three: your positioningHow to talk about your skills, which roles to aim for, and how to make your progress visible.
- Your written 90 day planA clear, personal plan you keep, so the momentum does not stop when the sessions do.

The 12 month roadmap
You do not need to be unrecognisable in a year. You need to be visibly different. One workflow at a time, inside the job you already have.
- Month onePick one recurring workflow that eats your month. Write down how it works today.
- Month twoRun it once with AI beside you. Ask it to explain its reasoning, not just hand you an answer.
- Month threeAudit your tasks. Sort each into AI can do this now, AI is getting there, and judgment still leads.
- Month fourTake a second workflow and apply what you learned. Note where human review still matters.
- Month fiveBuild a prompt library you can reuse, with a trust check on every one.
- Month sixTurn one finance output into something a non finance leader can act on.
- Month sevenRedesign one small, painful process on paper, from input through to trusted output.
- Month eightPrototype it with sample data. Rough is fine. Prove it can work a better way.
- Month nineMake it visible. Update your profile with real workflows and two or three measurable wins.
- Month tenTeach someone else. Nothing sharpens your own thinking faster.
- Month elevenLine your work up against the roles finance is now hiring for.
- Month twelvePackage it: three to five workflows, the impact, and where your judgment held the line.

I have sat in most of the seats you are sitting in now, and I have hired for the rest.
I know what a finance director actually looks for, what gets someone trusted with the number, and what quietly holds people back. I also know that AI is changing that picture faster than most finance teams are admitting.
My therapy training matters here more than you might expect. Changing direction in your career is rarely just a skills gap. It is confidence, identity, and the fear of looking out of date in front of people who used to rely on you. We work on both.
You will get straight answers, not hype. If coaching is not right for you, I will tell you on the first call.
Start with a free call
Tell me a little about where you are and what you want to change. I will come back to you to arrange a time.
The call is free and there is no obligation. It is simply a chance to see whether we are a good fit.
